How to sell

Stage 1. Select a suitable valuation method

Helander Auctioneers provides valuations free of charge for items that the owner intends to leave with us for selling by auction.

Valuation visit: Are you moving house, or facing disposal of the estate of a deceased person, or selling a collection? Helander’s experienced experts can help you value all the movables. You may also request a valuation visit on behalf of a company or other organisation.

Reception of goods: At our reception, you will meet some of our experts, who will consider whether your items are suitable for selling at auction.

Stage 2. Leave everything else to us

Once we have valued all the things you wish to sell, you do not need to do anything more. Our experts will manage the rest of the process, up until delivery of the items.

• You will receive a notification by e-mail whenever one or more of your items are coming up for auction.
• Lots displayed in our online catalogue for our international audience
• Lots displayed at a pre-auction viewing
• Lots sold at auction
• After the auction, you will receive a notification by e-mail of lots sold and unsold
• If any lots remain unsold, they will be dealt with as determined by you in the sales agreement.

Stage 3. Sales proceeds paid into your bank account

Sales accounts are published on your My Pages on the account payout dates.
