The December 2018 Main Auction will be held on Saturday 8th of December and the Auction Catalogue has now been published. There will be more than thousand interesting lots available – a fine selection of accessories, silver, jewellery, furniture, light fixtures, art and collectibles.
Magnificent photography items
The gem of the December Auction is a glass negative collection by photographer Fred Runeberg. The pictures include rare moments of the composer Jean Sibelius’ life and details of Ainola, his home, designed by famous architect Lars Sonck.

Join us against the disposable Christmas! Instead, choose a durable item to bring joy for decades: Finnish design classics as well as vintage jewellery and watches will make a gorgeous present. A festive setting for Christmas dinner is made with nostalgic tableware, similar to those our grandparents used to have.
The December 2018 Auction Catalogue was published on Monday the 3rd of December at 10 am.
Absentee and phone bids:
You may leave your absentee or phone bids immediately after the Auction Catalogue is published until one hour (1 h) prior to the auction.
December 2018 Auction Open House takes place on Friday the 7th of December from 12 pm to 7 pm and on the auction day Saturday the 8th of December from 10 am to 11 am. All of Auction House Helander’s Open Houses are free of charge and open to all. Please note that the Auction House is closed on the Independence Day, 6th of December.
December 2018 Auction will be held on the 8th of December starting at 11 am.
Collecting your items:
You may collect your items during the auction, ending 30 minutes after the sale, and between Monday the 10th and Wednesday the 12th of December, from 12 pm to 5 pm. Please note, that we are closed on the day after the sale (Sunday 9th of December).
